Another in-dash entertainment/GPS navigation system that will be displayed in Berlin next week is the AR 800 from CTC Clatronic International. It has a quite unique design with sets of button on each side of the 16:9 format 4.3″ TFT touch screen.
Also on the front you’ll find USB connection and SD/MMC card slot. The GPS navigation system relies on SiRFstar III for satellites signals and uses a Samsung 400 MHz processor. Navigation software can provide speed warnings and manual input and storage of radars.
The maps are provided by TeleAtlas and maps cover Western and Eastern Europe which is stored on AR 800’s internal memory for a smooth navigation.
We’ll keep you updated as we find out more about AR 800.
