Magellan iPhone case includes battery and its own GPS receiver

Yep, you heard it right. This 200 dollar case from Magellan includes battery and its own GPS receiver for your iPhone. This must be the first of its kind. This iPhone is not only high tech but also very rugged and may give you a false sense of confidence that you can do anything just because you won’t scratch your fancy glass screen. Not to mention it is also IPX7 waterproof - meaning it can be immersed in 3 feet of water up to 30 minutes.

Called ToughCase, Magellan made sure the device worked with both iPhone 3G/3GS and iPod Touch and you had access to all the functions of the device. As far as hardware specs Toughcase comes with a whopping 1840mAh battery which should double your phone’s life, and a SiRF Star III GPS receiver. Also the added GPS functionality should work with any GPS navigation app you wish; it doesn’t have to be Magellan’s own GPS navigation app.
