Nokia just recently announced their latest Symbian handset called Nokia C6. This is S60 5th edition and includes customizable home screen similar to N97. Obviously this is a GPS enabled device and the GPS related features include Ovi Maps with free lifetime navigation, integrated GPS, and A-GPS receivers, accelerometer for correct orientation of display, automatic geotagging of images, and even a Nokia Maps loader application for a PC.
Other then the GPS features Nokia C6 is still packed. You’ve got a 5MP camera, secondary camera for video calls, LED flash, a full keyboard, WiFi, and a 3.2″ touchscreen. The battery in there is a 1200mAh which should be decent, but if you leave the FM radio on you could easily drain the battery faster than you think.

Magellan Unveiled The eXplorist 710 Handheld GPS Device
Magellan unveiled the rugged eXplorist 710 handheld GPS device which will be available to consumers in Q4 2010 at an M.S.R.P. of USD $549.99. The eXplorist 710 features a 3.0-inch color touch screen, a 3.2 mega-pixel camera with auto-focus, microphone and speaker to record geo-referenced images, videos, and voice notes. Preloaded with Magellan’s World Edition map, the device also includes OneTouch™ favorites menu, expandable memory, paperless geocaching, GPX compatibility, 16 hours of battery life, high sensitivity GPS enabling 3-5 meters of accuracy, vertical profiling, a digital almanac, track summary statistics and area calculation.

Expresso GPS Is Just As Useful On The Back Nine As It Is On The Highways
This isn’t the first GPS device we’ve brought you designed for golfers, but the fact that the Expresso can also be used in your car as your standard navigational unit makes it considerably more versatile and easier to justify. On the golf side of things the unit licenses the iGolf software providing users access to their database of over 32,500 courses worldwide, or you can map your own course if your local greens aren’t listed. The software also lets you keep track of the score and stats of each round, and since the unit is water resistant, you shouldn’t have to worry about a little rain dampening your fun.
On the automotive side of things, the Expresso once again goes the licensing route with Navigon’s software and NAVTEQ’s map database. So you get everything from 2D or 3D map views depending on your preference, ZAGAT rated points of interest, multiple destination routing, lane assistance so you know where to be when exiting or merging on highways, and pretty much everything else offered by the Navigon software.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. With its 480×320 resolution display and SD card slot, the Expresso also serves as a half-decent media player while on the road and even though supported file formats aren’t specified on their site, it’s safe to assume that it at least handles the all-important DIVX format. I’ll also point out that the Expresso has a clever articulated screen design as you can see in the product shots, so you can use it sitting on the dashboard or with a windshield suction cup mount. And when unfolded you can even place it in one of your vehicle’s (car or golf cart) cup holders since a pair of pop-out spring-loaded stability wings will ensure a proper fit no matter how large it is. The Sony NV-U76V PND comes equipped with a 4.8-inch display screen with a 480 x 272 pixel resolution, an 8GB of storage space, Bluetooth connectivity and a 1Seg TV tuner with the possibility to record video. What makes this navigation gadget special is that it features a new ‘Position Plus GT’, which is able to guide thought tunnels or areas with poor GPS coverage. Measuring 141mm x 17.5mm x 88.5mm and weighing 255 grams, the Sony NV-U76V PND retails for around 60,000 Yen ($683). [Akihabara]
AG1 combines automotive and golf GPS
AG1 is a brand new GPS navigation system announced by Expresso today. It can be used as a regular car GPS navigation system to get turn by turn driving directions or as a golf range finder which includes more than 33000 courses around the world. In addition it includes a media player for your tunes and videos. We don’t know how much it will cost as ‘where to buy’ section of their website is still under construction.
AG1 has an automatic portrait and landscape function, 3.6″ TFT LCD touchscreen, battery that can last up to 10 - 12 hours, built in stereo speakers, and two SD card slots that allows up to 64GB of storage.
The car navigation system portion of AG1 is done via collaboration with NAVIGON while the golfing part of the device is integrated with help from iGolf.

new GPS navigation systems from NAVIGON
NAVIGON - at least in Spain - has put six new GPS navigators on the market, almost a complete overhaul of the range of the manufacturer.
Like other brands are already doing, new series 40 and 70 of Navigon adopt new names easier to remember and away from meaningless numbers and letters. So now the new Navigon GPS they are covered in three segments: Easy, Plus and Premium, to which they add two digits to give you an idea on the size of your screen.
Needless to say, the new Navigons with these easier names still focus on focus on providing navigation from one point to another in the simplest way. Navigon is also trying to do the same thing on smart phones with their MobileNavigator.
The GPS 40 series have a 4.3 inch screen, slightly larger than the more advanced phones. Its main features include text to speech, One Click menu with direct access to three points of interest you’ve marked as favorites, lane assistance, and reality view at big junctions.
The Premium Live 40 Navigon model adds Bluetooth hands-free function for use with up to two phones at the same time, and real-time information, including information about the status of public and private parking, weather, and traffic information.
As for series 70 models, the most striking is its 5-inch screen and faster processor, namely the 520MHz ARM11.
The Premium version includes extras such as a larger area of maps, the Active Lane Assistant, Bluetooth Handsfree Kit 2.0 and the Professional Voice Command 2.0 function, among others.
Easy Models 40 and 40 Plus have a cost of 150 and 180 Euros respectively, while the most complete of that range, 40 Premium Live, raises its price to 250 Euros. These models are already available in Spain. Later this summer we’ll start seeing Navigon 70 Series priced between 200 and 280 Euros…via
