Garmin also upped their 700 series with a new nuvi 780 yesterday. Garmin Nuvi 780 differs from the other rest by adding second generation MSN Direct into the mix. When you’re connected to the MSN Direct network you can get updates on weather, traffic conditions, fuel prices, movie show times, stocks, news and other local events.
What’s more important than the rest is of course the send to GPS capability which lets you plan your trip from your computer using Windows Live Local, and then send this info wirelessly to your Garmin Nuvi 780.
Nuvi 780 is currently priced at $800 and you get three months of free MSN Direct service. After that it is $50/year or $130/lifetime of your nuvi 780.
