RoadPilot MicroGO - speed camera warning system
microGo from RoadPilot is apparently world’s smallest GPS speed camera warning system. It integrates a GPS receiver and comes preloaded with database of speed camera locations and accident black spots in the UK and Europe.
RoadPilot MicroGO is truly a plug-n-play device. Just plug it in to your car charger and get ready for audible and visual signs which can warn you about approaching speed cameras, or ask you to slow down if you’re above the posted speed limit. The display will show your current speed, speed limit, type of camera approaching, and distance to camera. It is also direction aware - meaning you won’t be annoyed with a warning if the speed camera is on the other side of the road.
It sells for £79.95 and here is what they had to say about database updates:
As we add new camera locations daily - new road works, new cameras etc, you can update your microGo on-line whenever you want. The first 6 months access to the RoadPilot database are free.
After 6 months you can subscribe to the database - so that you are always up to date. At a cost of less than £1 per week, you get the peace of mind that only the UK’s best speed camera database can deliver.
