Oh, so shiny. We really love iNAVI. We might as well move our office to Korea just so we can use their GPS navigation systems. Just look through our other iNAVI posts and you’ll see what we’re talking about.

Anyhow, this latest one from Thinkware is called iNAVI KE100 and is coming out in Korea on March 22nd.

Very impressive hardware specs on the iNAVI KE100: 900Mhz CPU, SiRF Instant Fix GPS receiver, integrated multi-sensor that has a G-Sensor and an L-Sensor, DMB receiver, and multimedia support - on a big 7″ high resolution LCD screen.

The device is equipped with upgraded 3D maps called iNAVI Real 3D which can show surrounding buildings, terrain, and even more.

It will cost 409,000KRW ($360) for the 8GB model…

Korean Thinkware just keeps pumping out new iNAVI GPS navigation devices. This latest one is called iNAVI LE and it carries the characteristic 7″ touch screen.

The screen gets you 800x480 resolution and with the DMB receiver it can be quite entertaining (when idling of course). The processor on iNavi LE can buzz at 500Mhz, the GPS receiver is from European Ublox, and it has a 128MB of RAM and 64MB of ROM.

There’s a 2GB, 4GB, and an 8GB version. They cost 249,000KRW ($205) 289,000KRW ($238) for 4GB and 329,000KRW ($270) respectively.

We can't quite figure it out, but it seems the navigation makers in North America just can't muster the courage to develop something such as this for our market. We could very well be wrong here, but seriously, is there no pent-up demand for a TV tuning GPS system with a spacious 7-inch display here in the US / Canada / Mexico? Anywho, the South Koreans are scoring once more with the downright beautiful Thinkware iNAVI ES300, which arrives with a sweet side-panel control system, integrated battery, 2GB / 4GB / 8GB of internal storage, 3D maps and a DMB tuner. Oh, and this is considered 'low-end' by its standards. Those in the right places can snag one soon for ₩329,000 ($263), ₩379,000 ($303) or ₩429,000 ($343) from least capacious to most.

Thinkware released its high-end 7-inch navigation device INAV K7 in Korea market, which is equipped with its dynamic electronic map of 3D space representation INAV 3D. This device is more feature rather than iNAVI ES100+ and previous iNAVI K2 navigation.

The adoption of 8GB SDHC memory card and 256 MB of RAM / ROM, the K7 INAV provides useful information on the 3D environment through a 7-inch WVGA (800 x 480) LCD ’s a photo realistic.

In addition, the K7 INAV incorporated G-Sensor (geomagnetic sensor: 3-axis sensor for detecting absolute direction of north pole and heading towards the car), which allows the use of fixed navigation system, by improving of cognition way vehicle and accelerate research on INAV software.

With its contact with the main LED, it supports multimedia functions such as DMB, video player, MP3 player, games, e-book and photo viewer and more, thanks to the removable battery. Suggested price is 549,000 (KRW).

We now have more details on the iNAVI ES series we mentioned earlier this month. There is a new model called iNAVI ES100+ which apparently is the low end GPS navigation system. As you can see from the picture above this is what Korean’s call low-end:

iNAVI K2 has the best 3D navigation software we’ve ever seen so far. Of course it is from Korea; a company called Thinkware announced iNAVI K2, a GPS navigation system that has 8GB of space on SDHC memory card, comes with 256MB of RAM, and has a 4.8″ WVGA screen with 800x480 resolution.

What makes iNAVI K2 so futuristic is the fact that 3D structures are rendered with actual realistic images of the buildings. You can also expect to get complete lane information about the road you are on to help you with your next turn.

iNAVI K2 GPS navigation system also integrates a geomagnetic 3 axis sensor which detects absolute north pole and can calculate the heading of your vehicle even in stand still.

It will retail for 549,000KRW which is about $550 but that shouldn’t matter since you’ll never get your hands on one of these in the States…

Thinkware just introduced a new GPS navigation system called i-navi ES-100. i-navi ES-100 has a 7″ screen which features picture-in-picture functionality. This can come in quite handy since the device also features a DMB receiver so you watch digitally broadcast channels while navigating. The screen has 800x480 resolution and device runs on a 500Mhz processor.

In addition to carrying various software capabilities such as playing audio files, movies, displaying pictures, karaoke, games, etc, it also supports TPEG service. You can also hook up a rear view camera or even an external HDD.

For the 2GB expect to pay 449,000 KRW ($491) and for 4GB 499,000 KRW ($546)…

I-Navi brings G1 to the fore

The G1 personal navigation device from I-Navi comes with some interesting improvements such as a brighter display that has a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. It is powered by an AU1200 chipset from RMI, and really differentiates itself from the rest with the inclusion of both geomagnetic and gravity sensors. The former detects the absolute direction of the North Pole as well as heading direction of the vehicle while the latter senses motion via vectors X, Y, and Z. This means you can drive through urban canyons without missing a beat, as both sensors will maintain a steady direction unlike other GPS navigation systems that rely purely on their antenna.
