Garmin Zumo 665

Garmin just added Garmin Zumo 665 to their motorcycle lineup. Garmin zumo 665 is already available on Amazon for a whopping $1000. Too much? Nah.. You already own expensive toys like bikes so this shouldn’t be such a big deal for you.

Anyways, what’s new with the new Garmin Zumo 665? Well, you can see a comparison for yourself here with the older Zumo 660 but we’ll tell you right away that ‘not much’. Interestingly the battery life on the new Zumo 665 is only 3 hours which is 2 hours less than that of Zumo 660, but Zumo 665 adds XM Navtraffic & Radio for U.S. support with the included receiver. On the other hands it no longer supports MSN Direct - but that may have something to do with the MSN service going out.

Garmin Approach G3 already on Amazon

Garmin just announced is new handheld GPS device for golfers. It is called Garmin Approach G3 and tries to make the sport affordable for everyone. With the new Approach G3 you’ll have access to over 12K golf courses in the U.S. which are already loaded. It costs $350, which is about $9 cheaper than it is bigger brother Garmin Approach G5 as far as Amazon is concerned. We’re hoping Amazon price of Garmin Approach G3 will come down a bit to make price difference between G5 and G3 more logical. But do keep in mind the list price for Approach G5 is still $450.

Approach G3 is a very capable device with a 2.6″ touch screen, that can last up to 15 hours on a pair of AA batteries.

TomTom just introduced an entry level GPS navigation system called TomTom Ease. It will have a 3.5″ touchscreen, 2GB memory that includes TeleAtlas maps of the US, and text-to-speech feature (we’re really glad text-to-speech is now part even the lowest end sat nav systems).

Other features include their famous fold & go easy mount, Map Share technology, IQ Routes, and Help Me menu for emergencies.

We’re not sure how much it will cost yet but how much are you guys hoping for?
